Investors interest in telco heavyweight, MTNN (+8.89%) as well as ZENITHBANK (+0.78%) and GTCO (+1.39%) were the primary drivers of the overall market’s strong performance. Despite the gain, the market remains on track for a weekly loss. As a result, the ASI’s year-to-date (YTD) return rose to 6.17%, while the market capitalization gained ₦440.93bn to close at ₦29.64trn.
Analysis of today’s market activities showed trade turnover settled higher relative to the previous session, with the value of transactions up by 29.71%.
