A United Kingdom based firm has commended the Federal Government for adopting Public Private Partnership (PPP) model for execution of several projects across the country. This view was expressed by Mr Shola Ekperigin, a Director of the Global Training Consulting (GTC) while speaking to journalists in Abuja during the company’s launch of its 2012 brochure last weekend. Ekperigin also declared GTC’s readiness to become the Federal Government’s partner in the execution of the Performance Contract policy jointly adopted last year by the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) and the Office of Head of Civil Service of the Federation (HOCSF).
This offer was made by Mr Shola Ekperigin, a Director of the Global Training Consulting (GTC) while speaking to journalists in Abuja during the company’s launch of its 2012 brochure last weekend. Speaking further, he stated that stated that given the company’s track record in training very senior personnel in both the public and private sectors in different parts of the world, GTC remains the Government’s ideal partner in implementing the policy of performance contract in the nation’s public service.
Giving further reasons for his position, he stated that presently the comapny was even running a programme on public private partnership which is accredited by the University of Middlesex also based in the UK. He added that participants in the company’s capacity building programme could also earn a master’s degree at the end of the training.
Speaking earlier, Ian Thompson, another Director of the company stated that capacity building had become inseparable from National Development Strategies to the point where it is safe to say capacity building is development for growth.
