The Banking index led the gainers, up 0.7% due to price appreciation in FBNH (+3.1%) and UBA (+1.9%). Investor sentiment, as measured by market breadth (advance/decline ratio), strengthened to 1.2x from 0.9x as 23 stocks advanced while 20 stocks declined. UPL (+9.9%), PRESCO (+5.9%), and CHAMS (+4.8%) led the gainers while BOCGAS (-9.9%), CAVERTON (-9.7%), and MANSARD (-5.2%) led the losers.
