NSE All-Share index slips by 0.86%

The All-Share Index of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on Wednesday slipped by 0.86 per cent amid sell pressure.
The index lost 207.64 points or 0.86 per cent to close at 23, 883.34 against 24,090.98 posted on Tuesday. Similarly, the market capitalisation which opened at N8.285 trillion dipped N69 billion to close at N8.216 trillion. Guinness topped the laggards’ chart, dipping by N5.85 to close at N113 per share. 7UP lost N1.90 to close at N170, while Unilever dropped N1.19 to close at N26.81 per share.
GT Bank declined by 64k to close at N16.06, while Zenith lost 57k to close at N10.87 per share. On the other hand, Mobil recorded the highest price gain to lead the gainers’ chart with 50k to close at N149.50 per share. Flourmill garnered 30k to close at N19.30, while ETI appreciated by 20k to close at N15.20 per share. Afri Prudential improved by 12k to close at N2.53 and NASCON gained 10k to close at N7.10 per share.
The Financial Services Sector remained the toast of investors with FCMB Group emerging the most traded stock with 114.13 million shares worth N87.59 million.
Zenith Bank sold 23.77 million shares valued N261.85 million, while Fidelity Bank accounted for 20.43 million shares worth N23.32 million. Access Bank exchanged 20.24 million shares valued N82.17 million and investors staked N48.74 million on 17.11 million shares of UBA. In all, a total of 269.50 million shares valued N1.22 billion were traded by investors in 3,002 deals. This was against a turnover of 201.73 million shares worth N1.26 billion transacted in
