Losses in GTCO (-3.39%), ZENITHBANK (-2.71%) and FBNH (-1.57%) underpinned the market’s weak performance, in spite of gains in OANDO (+2.05%), ACCESSCORP (+0.44%) and INTBREW (+1.25%). Consequently, the year-to-date (YTD) return decreased to 30.56%, while the market capitalization lost ₦122.88bn to close at ₦59.17tn.
Market activities ended with trade turnover up 75.37%. A total of 671.26m shares valued at ₦10.64bn were exchanged in 10,464 deals. FBNH (-1.57%) led the volume and value charts with 245.25m units transacted at ₦6.23bn.
Market breadth closed negative at a 0.90-to-1 ratio with declining issues outnumbering the advancing ones. NSLTECH (-9.84%) topped twenty-eight (28) others on the laggard’s table, while SUNUASSUR (+9.81%) led twenty-five (25) others on the leader’s log.
