Consequently, the year-to-date (YTD) return decreased to +33.34%, while the market capitalization slipped by ₦12.87bn to close at ₦37.40 trn.
Analysis of today’s market activities showed trade turnover settled lower relative to the previous session, with the value of transactions down by 8.61%. A total of 566.63m shares valued at 5.39bn were exchanged in 8,201 deals. OANDO (+9.77%) led the volume and value charts with 110.00m units traded in deals worth ₦1.60bn.
Market breadth closed negative at a 1.11-to-1 ratio with declining issues outnumbering advancing ones. TRANCOHOT (-10.00%) led nineteen (19) others on the laggard’s log while BERGER (+9.91%) topped seventeen (17) others on the leader’s table.
