As a result, the ASI’s year-to-date (YTD) return increased to 33.38%, while the market capitalization gained ₦263.83bn to close at ₦37.41trn.
Analysis of today’s market activities showed trade turnover settled lower relative to the previous session, with the value of transactions down by 33.97%. A total of 676.74m shares valued at 5.89bn were exchanged in 7,659 deals. UBA (-1.96%) led the volume and value charts with 69.10m units traded in deals worth ₦1.22bn.
Market breadth closed positive at a 1.50-to-1 ratio with advancing issues outnumbering declining ones. BERGER (+9.95%) led twenty-three (23) others on the leader’s log while MULTIVERSE (-9.93%) topped fifteen (15) others on the laggard’s table.
