As a result, the year-to-date (YTD) return rose to 33.53%, while the market capitalisation gained ₦988.50m to close at ₦56.48trn.
Analysis of today’s market activities showed trade turnover settled higher relative to the previous session, with the value of transactions up by 53.64%. A total of 1.3m shares valued at ₦25.33bn were exchanged in 8,364 deals. FBNH (-0.45%) led the volume and value chart with 871.08m units traded in deals worth ₦19.12bn.
Market breadth closed positive at a 2.13-to-1 ratio with advancing issues outnumbering declining ones. CHAMPION (+9.88%) topped thirty-three (33) others on the gainer’s log, while TRANSCOHOT (-10.00%) led fifteen (14) others on the laggard’s table.
