As a result, the ASI’s year-to-date (YTD) return fell to 30.50%, while the market capitalisation lost ₦241.88 billion to close at ₦36.61 trillion.
Analysis of today’s market activities showed trade turnover settled higher relative to the previous session, with the value of transactions up by 24.96%. A total of 408.19m shares valued at 5.44 billion were exchanged in 7,707 deals. ACCESSCORP (-9.86%) led the volume and value charts with 113.39 million units traded in deals worth ₦1.78 billion.
Market breadth closed negative at a 2.64-to-1 ratio with declining issues outnumbering advancing ones. ACCESSCORP (-9.86%) led twenty-eight (28) others on the laggard’s log while CORNERST (+9.49%) topped ten (10) others on the leader’s table.
