The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) says it is set to host the 33rdedition of the Lagos International Trade Fair with the theme: Connecting Businesses, Creating Value. The Opening Ceremony is scheduled to take place on 1st November, 2019 at at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Onikan, Lagos. While the Closing Ceremony is slated for Sunday 10th November, 2019. The Trade Fair will run for a total of ten. Director General of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) said that Muda Yusuf, “In addition to the General Interest Fair, the annual international business event will also feature the Business-2-Business meetings simultaneously with the fair. While Thursday 7th November, 2019 will be the Africa Day Celebration at the same venue at 10am prompt. The focus this year is to encourage intra-African trade and position Africa as the next emerging economic powerhouse amongst other continents of the world.”
Yusufalso said “The exhibition will also facilitate networking amongst exhibitors and between exhibitors and visitors. The Fair is expected to attract a huge traffic of visitors seeking to take advantage of the networking opportunities and discounted prices. Corporate organisations includingMultinational Corporations, Indigenous Conglomerates and Financial Institutions as well as SMEs have indicated interest to participate at the exhibition. Exhibitors expected at the Fair include companies from China, Japan, Ghana, Egypt, Benin Republic, Cameroun, Russia, the U.S, Pakistan and some countries in the European Union.
He emphasised that relevant agencies and departments of the Government will be available to exhibit and attend to other exhibitors and visitors. He stated that agencies that have confirmed attendance to provide information and educate exhibitors and visitors are Bank of Industry (BOI), Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC), Federal Institute of Research, Oshodi (FIIRO), NAFDAC, Corporate Affairs Commission amongst others.
He said that “so far, so good the excitement the fair has generated has been phenomenal and we are indeed happy about our strategic partnership with the United Bank for Africa, Airtel Nigeria, Africa Export Import Bank, Nigeria Export Import Bank, Max NG and FAE Limited.”
