Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya ( Dan Majen Gombe) received in audience, the newly appointed Executive Secretary of the Federal Capital Development Authority, FCDA, Engr Shehu Hadi Ahmad ( Iyan Pindiga) who paid him a visit at the Gombe State Governor’s lodge in Abuja. Engr Hadi, who paid the visit in company of some family members, friends and associates, also presented his letter of appointment to the Governor in the presence of All Progressives Congress, APC chieftain, Alhaji Abubakar Muazu ( Yariman Kashere). He said he was at the Governor’s lodge to show appreciation to Governor Yahaya and to solicit for his advice and guidance as he assumes duty as the helmsman in the FCDA.
He said, “your excellency, I can’t thank you enough. You have been a pillar of support and encouragement. This appointment is not for me alone, but for all of us; that is why I am here today with my friends and associates as well as my Hon. Member in the state House of Assembly, Hon. Abdullahi Abubakar Barwa, to show my appreciation to you. As I take on this job, I count on your continued support and guidance. I know with the backing of the Hon. Minister and the support and guidance of my Governor, this job will be easier for me and I assure you I will not disappoint”. Responding, Governor Inuwa Yahaya noted that the appointment of Engr Shehu Hadi was a well deserved one, considering his background as a public servant, and in particular, a retired Director of Engineering Services in the FCDA, who was involved in the supervision and monitoring of planning, design and implementation of infrastructure development for the Federal Capital City.
He said the entire people of Gombe state are excited with and very proud of the appointment. The Governor expressed profound gratitude and appreciation to President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR and the Hon. Minister of the FCT, Malam Muhammad Musa Bello for the confidence reposed in the Iyan Pindiga. “We have no doubt that, considering your pedigree as a thorough bred engineer, seasoned technocrat and highly cerebral figure with impeccable footprints in the development of Gombe State and the nation’s capital, your will deliver even beyond expectations. He assured him of the support and solidarity of the Government and good people of Gombe state as he takes on the new task, urging him to continue to bring pride and honour to his home state and keep on with the remarkable trajectory and positive disposition he was known for.

It will be recalled that the Minister of the Federal Territory, FCT, Malam Muhammad Musa Bello had recently announced the appointment of Engr Shehu Hadi Ahmad as the Executive Secretary of the FCDA alongside those of other Mandate Secretaries, Heads of Agencies and Personal Aides into relevant positions in the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) as approved by President Muhammadu Buhari.
