Seven companies have in Abuja signed a memorandum of understanding with the Federal Housing Authority (FHA)of Nigeria to construct 6,000 houses in 10 states of the country. The companies are Paul B Plc; Power Form Construction Company; MINFA Ltd; DANACENSOBI Investment Ltd; CUCC Global Resources Ltd; Milk and Honey Investment Ltd and Jireh Developers Ltd. ccc CUC Managing Director of FHA, Mr Terver Gemade, who spoke after the signing of the memorandum of understanding, said the houses would be completed within 24 months. He said the partnership became necessary to correct the shortage of houses in the country as well as attract funds from the partnering companies. Gemade noted that the partnership for housing delivery would also enhance job creation and strengthen entrepreneurs in the sector. The ten states on the first phase of the project are Anambra with a total of 1,023 housing units; Bayelsa, 1,740 units; Benue, 200 units; Cross River, 506 units; Ekiti, 720 units and Gombe, 280 units. Others are Kaduna, 330 units; Lagos, 638 units; Osun, 292 units and Taraba, 280 units
