Global aviation industry egg heads have started arriving in Nigeria ahead of the 59th Airports Council International (ACI) Africa Boards, Committees Meetings and Regional Conference and Exhibition which kicks off in Lagos. President of International civil aviation organisation (ICAO) Dr. Bernard Olumuyiwa Aliu, Director-General, ACI World, Ms. Angela Gittens, Secretary General of ACI Africa, Mr. Ali Tounsi, Secretary General of African Airlines Association (AFRAA), Mr. Abderahmane Berthe among other notable aviators are already in the country for the conference.
The 59th ACI Africa Conference which would be declared opened by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr. Boss Mustapha will also have the Minister of State Aviation, Sen. Hadi Sirika in attendance. The Managing Director, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and President, Airports Council International (ACI), Africa Region, Engr. Saleh Dunoma has presided over an Executive Board Meeting /CEO Forum of ACI Africa in Lagos. The Conference with the theme: Business Transformation For Sustainable Development of African Airports will bring the best brains in the aviation sector together to share knowledge, experiences, develop strategies, grow network and attract right investments into the industry.
The conference would also give room for discussions ranging from the need for change in the perception of business in African airports, to optimizing resources, improve the profitability of infrastructure and ensuring the sustainability of the business. This year’s edition of the ACI Africa conference which holds between April 14 and 20 in Lagos, will offer Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) a better opportunity to showcase its potential in airport infrastructure for investors all over the world to explore.
