Aliko Dangote has been listed by Forbes as the 124th richest man in the world with a net worth of $14.2 billion he ties with India’s Kumar Birla who is also estimated to be worth $14.2 billion. The list named Bernard Arnault & family with standing of $211 billion as the richest man on planet earth today with Elon Musk as second richest with $180 billion while Jeff Bezos ranked third with $114 billion worth of assets. Fourth on the Forbes list is Larry Ellison with net worth of $107 billion while Warren Buffet is fifth with $106 billion and Bill Gates sixth with a total asset value of $104 billion.
Others are Michael Bloomberg 7th with $94.5 billion ranking, Mexico’s richest person, Carlos Slim Helú and his family control América Móvil, Latin America’s biggest mobile telecom firm being 8th with $93 billion net worth. The 9th on the list is Mukesh Ambani chairs and runs $110 billion (revenue) Reliance Industries, which has interests in petrochemicals, oil and gas, telecom and retail and 10th Steve Ballmer is the high-wattage former CEO of Microsoft, who led the company from 2000 to 2014.

Bernard Arnault, head of luxury goods giant LVMH, takes his place as the world’s richest person, marking the first time a citizen of France leads the ranking.
The United States still boasts the most billionaires, with 735 list members worth a collective $4.5 trillion. China (including Hong Kong and Macau) remains second, with 562 billionaires worth $2 trillion, followed by India, with 169 billionaires worth $675 billion.
