The Nigerian Stock Exchange NSE, All- share index gained 31 basis points today. The rally on Unity Bank came to a halt trading over 60 million units at the close of the session, Wema Bank on the other hand picked up a further 4.1 per cent with a dearth of offers fuelling the surge in price while Stanbic IBTC Holding, UBN and Access Bank also closed on the up-tick. Diamond Bank rallied with a 0.6 per cent mark-up. Purchases at the close of the session cleared available offers of Flourmills as it picked up 4.9 per cent and closed with unsatisfied demand at limit up, which could lead to further appreciation. Dangote Flour also closed with a 9.7 per cent lift to close at N9.57. On the flip side Dangote Sugar, Cadbury and Nascon lost over 2.0 per cent apiece. Bearish sentiments trimmed off 2.8 per cent from Oando closing at N13.60 on the other hand EternaOil and Forte Oil recorded maximum gains of 4.9 per cent each while Conoil recorded a slimmer 1kobo change.
